The Yue Lao Hall will be closed from March 17 for the new hall construction
The "Statues of Yuelao and Couples" were established in 2011 with the intention of blessing the good fortune of worshippers and wishing all lovers in the world to be married. Over the years, the Yuelao Hall has been warmly welcomed by devotees from various places, including local, national, and international visitors. However, due to years of use, the hall's facilities have gradually aged. In response to requests from devotees, the Yuen has decided to rebuild a new hall on the original site of the Yuelao Hall at the Fung Ming Hall Plaza, in order to provide a better environment and experience for worshippers. Construction is scheduled to commence on 17 March and is expected to be completed by mid-October 2025.
During the construction period, the Yuelao Hall will be temporarily closed for worship, commencing from Monday, 17 March until the completion of the new hall. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.
Please stay tuned and support upcoming activities at Wong Tai Sin Temple.

Caring for the Elderly

According to the research of Census and Statistics Department, Wong Tai Sin District has the highest number of elderly people and the median age. In order to reduce the pressure of medical and elderly service in the community, Sik Sik Yuen co-organized the Care and Love Project with Wong Tai Sin and Sai Kung District Social Welfare Office, to provide the education and prevention activities to younger elders. The participants will become “health ambassador” to visit and provide support to those elders in need in the community.

In continuation of the medical-social collaboration model, arrangements have been made to train health ambassadors and arrange visits for the “Sik Sik Yuen Care and Love” project. This project aims to help younger elders gain more knowledge about physical and mental health and to support frail elders in need. Elders who are volunteers just need to attend the training seminars and conduct visits to collect the self-care and health status of elders. Booths and health information street stalls to promote health testing will also be arranged. 1,500 health packs will be distributed in the whole district to promote health information and quilts are provided to the units of the district during winter every year to keep elders warm.
