The Yue Lao Hall will be closed from March 17 for the new hall construction

The "Statues of Yuelao and Couples" were established in 2011 with the intention of blessing the good fortune of worshippers and wishing all lovers in the world to be married. Over the years, the Yuelao Hall has been warmly welcomed by devotees from various places, including local, national, and international visitors. However, due to years of use, the hall's facilities have gradually aged. In response to requests from devotees, the Yuen has decided to rebuild a new hall on the original site of the Yuelao Hall at the Fung Ming Hall Plaza, in order to provide a better environment and experience for worshippers. Construction is scheduled to commence on 17 March and is expected to be completed by mid-October 2025.

During the construction period, the Yuelao Hall will be temporarily closed for worship, commencing from Monday, 17 March until the completion of the new hall. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Overview

The Education Committee of Sik Sik Yuen has full leadership over the education affairs at Sik Sik Yuen. The Committee sets the general direction of its schools, as well as manages and supervises the affairs of the schools through the appointment of school supervisors and school managers to ensure the implementation of the schools' objectives and various education policies. In 1969, Sik Sik Yuen founded and sponsored the first school, Ho Lap College. As of today, the Yuen sponsors 16 schools and educational units.

We uphold school-based management, and that all our schools are managed by independent School Management Committee/ Incorporated Management Committee, which formulate school-based plans and goals every year to ensure that the school is well managed and students are receiving good education. Our primary and secondary schools have set up Incorporated Management Committee which takes into account varying opinions of the stakeholders. As regards kindergarten, a school policies advisory committee is established, which promotes the communication and cooperation among the school management, staff and parents.

Our School Motto - "To act benevolently and to teach benevolence" is the guiding principle of our education. We do not only emphasize on language skills and subject knowledge but also put much effort in moral education that help our students become a better person and build an active and healthy attitude toward life and achieve balanced development in body, mind and spirit.
