Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple worships Master Wong Tai Sin. Following his Teaching of “acting benevolently and teaching benevolence”, all priests strictly adhere to the 10 rules of “filial piety, fraternity, fidelity, benevolence, righteousness, frugality, morality, ritual propriety, restraint and trustworthiness” as the discipline. Sik Sik Yuen is committed to providing medical, education and elderly services, so as to inherit Master Wong Tai Sin’s reputation of “answering whatever he is asked for”. For nearly 100 years, Sik Sik Yuen has been devoted to promoting Taoism and Wong Tai Sin Belief.
Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple was set up with the altar named as “Puyi”. All members of the temple must dedicate to the faith and receive the Three Treasures of “Taoism, Scriptures and Master” to become a priest of “Puyi Altar” of the Chunqian (male) sect faction. All priests have the obligation to carry out the missionary work of Sik Sik Yuen in a voluntary nature. Since its founding, the Wong Tai Sin faith of Sik Sik Yuen has emphasized the three teachings, respected the fact that Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism share the same roots, and pursued the concept of great unity, which attracts worshippers to reflect the diversity of Hong Kong Community. In order to actualize the three teachings that share the same roots, Sik Sik Yuen also worships the Buddha of Lighting Lamp and Confucius other than the Taoist deities.
