Other than visiting elderly centres, the Yuen also arranges priests and their families to visit the homes for the elderly that are sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen. The External Affairs and Preaching Subcommittee arranged the visits regularly. Not only chanting scriptures with the residents, the priests and their families but also extend their condolences to the residents and give fruits and blessings. The members of Sik Sik Yuen's “SSY Puyi Music Ensemble” also join them for their outreach activities. The members of “SSY Puyi Music Ensemble” play a number of Taoist songs and classic pop songs during the visits to make the atmosphere warmer, which makes them very popular among the residents.
