Opened in 1989, the school is a NPM kindergarten sponsored by
Sik Sik Yuen that provides quality pre-school education for children in Wong Tai Sin District. In
2006, the school started providing childcare center services as well to meet the needs of the
district. Faithful to Sik Sik Yuen's student-oriented school policy, the school refers to the
curriculum guidelines of the Education Bureau to design a series of child-led free-play courses
according to their growth characteristics, needs, abilities, interests, and life experiences to help
the children develop multiple intelligences. Various extracurricular activities are also organized
according to the themes of the courses to create a relaxed and happy environment for children to
learn in.
The school attaches great importance to developing
children’s artistic ability. In addition to participating in the expert support programs
offered by the Education Bureau and higher education institutions to improve teachers’
professional skills and knowledge in art course design, the school treats art as a core learning and
teaching project and has held many children's painting exhibitions to show the children’s
learning achievements. The school has also set up a graffiti wall and a creative LOGO wall to
provide the children with multi-sensory and stimulating learning, strengthen their creative
thinking, and promote their all-round development.
The school is committed to promoting environmental education. In
addition to integrating relevant themed courses in the classroom, it also participates in various
government and community programs to help children develop a good habit of caring for the
environment from an early age.
