The Yue Lao Hall will be closed from March 17 for the new hall construction
The "Statues of Yuelao and Couples" were established in 2011 with the intention of blessing the good fortune of worshippers and wishing all lovers in the world to be married. Over the years, the Yuelao Hall has been warmly welcomed by devotees from various places, including local, national, and international visitors. However, due to years of use, the hall's facilities have gradually aged. In response to requests from devotees, the Yuen has decided to rebuild a new hall on the original site of the Yuelao Hall at the Fung Ming Hall Plaza, in order to provide a better environment and experience for worshippers. Construction is scheduled to commence on 17 March and is expected to be completed by mid-October 2025.
During the construction period, the Yuelao Hall will be temporarily closed for worship, commencing from Monday, 17 March until the completion of the new hall. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

Offers Biotech Workshops on DNA Science at the Student Education Fair on Science, Technology and Mathematics 2016

We are very pleased to be commissioned by the Education Bureau to offer Biotech Workshops on DNA Science at the Student Education Fair on Science, Technology and Mathematics 2016 on Jan 22 and 23.  It was a successful event with very positive responses and feedback from the participants who explored and appreciated DNA and Genetics in the workshops offered onboard our Sik Sik Yuen Biotechnology Mobile Laboratory (the MobileLab).  Over the two days of activities at the Education Fair with our MobileLab stationed at the Science Park, we delivered 8 biotech workshops for students to explore the world of DNA.

Funded solely by Sik Sik Yuen, the MobileLab has the mandate to promote and deliver biotech education to students, teachers and the public across Hong Kong.  It is well-equipped with university-level instruments to facilitate learning and teaching of advanced biotechnology.  The MobileLab is a traveling classroom with its depot at Ho Yu College and Primary School sponsored by Sik Sik Yuen.  Besides supporting the biotech education of Ho Yu, we design and develop courses and workshops for students at the primary and secondary levels over the territory, and deliver to them at their schools with the MobileLab.
