為了喚起大眾關注人類行為對環境帶來的破壞，已嚴重影響大自然美麗動人的景緻，本園早前舉辦了「天空之情」全港學界天文及氣象攝影比賽，藉此鼓勵青年人透過親身接觸大自然，仔細觀察浩瀚天穹，從而提升保育環境的意識，培養愛護自然的美德。
