Cultural Centre for Wong Tai Sin Belief and Customs
The Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple is the birthplace of the Wong Tai Sin Belief and Customs in Hong Kong. After a hundred years of preaching and promoting the faith by the Taoist priests of the Yuen, the Wong Tai Sin Belief and Customs has become deeply rooted in Hong Kong, and Wong Tai Sin Temple has also become an important religious attraction in Hong Kong. Thanks to the active cooperation of the Yuen and the HKSAR government, the Wong Tai Sin Belief and Customs in Hong Kong was formally included in the Fourth Batch of National List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of China in 2014 by the State Council as a representative piece of heritage, and included in the first list of The Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Hong Kong in 2017. To coincide with the centenary anniversary celebration of Sik Sik Yuen and to promote the Wong Tai Sin Belief and Customs to worshippers and tourists from around the world, Sik Sik Yuen will establish the Cultural Centre for Wong Tai Sin Belief and Customs in 2021.
